About this audiobook
Millions of Vanderpump Rules viewers and podcast listeners know Stassi Schroeder as a major defender of Basic Bitch rights. There’s nothing more boring than people who take themselves too seriously. Stassi champions the things that many of us are afraid to love publicly for fear of being labeled basic: lattes, pugs, bubbly cocktails, millennial pink, #OOTD (outfit of the day, obvs), astrology, hot dogs, the perfect pair of Louboutins, romantic comedies...the list goes on and on.
“There’s something for everyone under Schroeder’s big basic umbrella” (Elle) and in Next Level Basic, the reality star, podcast queen, and ranch dressing expert gives you hilarious and pointed lessons on how to have fun and celebrate yourself, with exclusive stories from her own life and on the set of Vanderpump Rules. From her very public breakups to her most intimate details about her plastic surgery, Stassi shares her own personal experiences with her trademark honesty—all with the hope you can learn something from them.

- Rating: 1 out of 5 stars1/5So shallow. Such a waste of time. Not an original thought in the thing. Bonus stupidity points for the author saying seeing herself with less than ideal hair/makeup triggers "serious PTSD." Read anything else

- Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5Meh, found this to be a very long rant. I realise I might not be the target of this book, but I was hoping for something funnier and with a different vibe.

- Rating: 1 out of 5 stars1/5I'm surprised I lasted as long as I did (1/3 of the way through). Essentially this is the narcissistic ramblings of a professional immature child.
I suppose I'm not exactly the target market, but trying to listen to this book next to Carmen Aguirre's Something Fierce (a book dealing with such serious subject matter it tends to land with a dull thud) made me almost want to puke.2 people found this helpful
- Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5Cussing at the outset? Don't need it. Enough said for this title.

- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5I love Stassi but this just kind of felt repetitive in nature. You can get drunk off the amount of times she says “AF” and “basic”. I would have much preferred a memoir about her life and her childhood since her parents seemed pretty liberal in raising her. Hopefully her next book!

- Rating: 1 out of 5 stars1/5Feels like a waste of time, though I'm clearly not the target group. I expected it to be at least funny, which did not happen.

- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5I love Stassi, and the book was fun and an easy read/listen. But I also wish I would’ve gotten more out of it. Everything was very surface level and some of the chapters were a bit boring.

- Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5I appreciate that she doesn’t take herself seriously and she has a great sense of humor. I read this book for book club and it just does t apply to my current season of life. I will, however, recommend it to my sister who is 12 years younger than me.

- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Cute book, inspired me to let myself be a little more basic and not care! I didn’t care for the parts where it just listed out a bunch of things she considered basic, but still enjoyed it.
