About this audiobook

What's wrong with my butt?

She means those words to be directed toward the woman beside her, not him. But he can't stop himself from answering. Not when her ass is the most magnificent thing he's seen in his life.

Apparently, answering her with "not a damn thing" wasn't what she was expecting. She likely wasn't expecting the baseball she took to the face at his next at bat, either.

All it takes is one ill-fated foul ball, and George Hoffman, Lumberjacks center fielder, falls head over heels in love with Wrigley Field-and yes, that is her real name.

From that point forward, George and Wrigley fall into a fast whirlwind love that ends with them eloping to Vegas. And he has his potty-mouth, titty-bar-owning, pain in the ass grandmother to thank for it.Not that he's complaining or anything. Who wouldn't want to be married to a woman that made his heart race like he was in the final game of the World Series?

The only problem is trying to convince her of that.

Contains mature themes.

TRIGGERS: TBI, DEPRESSION, PAPARAZZI. So I love how this story connects to the previous book "Pitch Please". It all began to feel together and fill in the blanks with what happened before the rush to the hospital. LLV really knows how to pull your heart up into your throat and make you stop breathing while you wait to find out what's going to happen next and that's what I love about her storytelling. Then it's always a shock either in a really bad way or a really good way. I loved Wrigley and George, they seemed perfect for each other. I wished it was explained more why her brother Dodger was such a douchebag. Other than the work thing. It seemed as though he was a ghost before Wrigley and George got involved. another great read on the world of LLV. We also got a cameo appearance by Cleo from "Life to My Flight - Heroes of Dixie Wardens".

In the beginning I was confused, then a bit annoyed, because in the previous book Furious George features and you hear all about his ex wife. So i assumed this story is about him moving on from his ex, but as I continued to listen, I realised it was their origin story, and I could relax. It was frustrating listening how tabloids and shitty family members can come between two people, and how miscommunication and misunderstandings are always a theme for break ups.

This was a very interesting story. I wasn't to sure about it at first but after listening to it for awhile I grew to love the story and hear what would happen next. The narrators did an excellent job of conveying the emotional state of the characters in the story as the story progressed.

What can I say...I love me some drama...and this book had drama and then some. When Wrigley met ‘Furious George’ Hoffman of the baseball team Lumberjacks, she never imagined that she’d end up marrying him. But that’s what happened...then they had a kid...and all was right in their world...until it wasn’t. Part 2 of the book is filled with angsty moments as the now divorced couple tries to figure out if they’re better together or if they’ll let the media dictate their lives. We eventually get an HEA, after much ‘other woman’ drama.
