About this audiobook

It's Naomi Clemons's big day. Her dream wedding. And she's outta here.

One moment. A chance meeting of gazes through the church window pane with someone familiar who radiates intrigue. Independence. It's the final push Naomi needs to realize . . . she's boring. A blonde, cookie cutter, well mannered trophy wife-to-be. How can she expect to lead a fulfilling married life when she's never lived?

Special Forces diver Jason Bristow needs a beauty pageant coach. Not for himself-although the tattooed bruiser could definitely use some charm. For his little sister who he has returned to St. Augustine, Florida, to raise. When a beautiful southern debutante lands on his doorstep, she awakens a hunger that won't be ignored. If only she wasn't planning on winning back the ex-fiance she left at the altar . . .

Despite the potential for ruin, heat continues to build between Naomi and Jason beneath the sultry Florida sunshine, consuming them both. But they're on borrowed time . . . and it's about to run out.

Contains mature themes.

I loved the female narrator & will look for other work by her. I wasnt as emotionally invested in this book. It was basically a light, quick read. Which was exactly what I needed. There were a few bits where I caught myself smiling because of it. That's always a plus, right?

The beginning and the end was interesting. The middle was boring. Too much Sex. It was trying to escalate, but their longing got each other was very high from the beginning, so for me it was like repetition. Also the main character didn't really do much. She was just living like a teenager enjoying life without its real struggles.

I loved the story, but the narrators leave a lot to be desired. So disappointing after the first book's female narrator was excellent.

This book was fabulous. I have read the entire series and this was my absolute favorite. This gave everyone the closure they needed. Naomi ruined a lot of things but when she recovered she did a damn good job. I always love Tessa Bailey but this gave me all the feels ?

Runaway Girl has the charm and wit as Runaway Bride. In fact, I could picture Naomi as Julia Robert's character from the movie. Just like Runaway Bridge, Runaway Girl is a smash hit! I had such an enjoyable time reading this book. Naomi may have started out as a girl but by the end of the story, she had grown into a woman. Yet, she was not the only one that did some growing up...Jason and his sister, Birdie did as well. Naomi helped Jason break down his barriers. I liked that Birdie did not let her brother get away with anything. She called him out as siblings do. Back to Naomi and Jason. They shared some really serious chemistry. It was sizzling. Yet, there were feelings behind the sex. Thus is made it even better. Having finished and loved the Clarkson series, I was waiting for that next best book from one of my favorite author's. Tessa Bailey did not disappoint. I plan to pick up a copy of Getaway Girl.
