He is on the advisory council of the BioLogos Foundation, and is the Old Testament editor for the revised Expositor's Bible Commentary and general editor for the Story of God Bible Commentary Old Testament, and has authored many articles and books on the Psalms and other Old Testament books.

      So far, anything with Walton's name on it has been excellent. This book is no different. I highly recommend this to anybody who wants to broaden their perspective on the ancient near east cognitive background. Very Illuminating!

      Very interesting and helpful summary of a literary approach to the Flood and its cultural context. The exposition is learned and serious and while it is not always convincing, it convinces us that it is worth considering.
