But just when she is ready to head into a future she's sure will be bright, the rug is pulled out from under her again.

Tattoo artist, Hasaan Peterson, meets Denise through her job, and although their relationship is initially contentious, it soon blossoms into a friendship that leads them to passionate feelings neither can deny.

Could it be that Denise and Hasaan are destined to share a love that is unavoidable and undeniable . . . a real love?

Any book written by this author is amazing. I love the character development and how down to earth they all are. #blacklove?

Normally when I finish a series, I'm always a little sad because I enjoyed it so much. Well, that's not the case with the Love After Series. I have never been so happy to be done with a series. I can say I've listened to these books and NEVER do it again. Here's a few cons about Real Love that annoyed me:

    1. Denise didn't get fired. She got laid off. You don't get a severance
package if you're fired. I expect an author to know the difference
between being fired and being laid off.
    2. Denise didn't even like her job so, what was with the unnecessary
melancholy?!!! Especially, when her BFF's rich husband offered to
    give her a job!
    3. What is with the consistent use of the term VD?!!! Did we time
travel back to the 70's?!!! No one gets a VD but, they do get an STD!
I'm fairly certain the author is younger than me so, it's weird she
    would use VD instead STD.
    4. Why did Denise all of a sudden turn into a jealous shrew?!!! Didn't
her ex-husband steal from her?!!! Christian didn't cheat on her. The
way she acted when Haasan got that phone call about his Rafik
    was ridiculous and uncalled for.
    5. I never thought the term baby could be overused but, after
listening to this book, I realized it can.
    6. Denise's reaction when she caught Haasan at the coffee shop with
Mrs. Wycliff was absolutely ridiculous. After the sh*t she pulled, I
really wish Haasan had left her.

I really hate that I didn't enjoy this series but, fortunately, I've read other books by Alexandria House so I'll keep her on my favorite author list.

I enjoyed the book. I hate the main female character ghetto attitude. It was a turn off.

No. Because why did H have me twisted like that??? I would have done anything for this man ???‍♀️??‍♀️??‍♀️. I really loved this book. Denise might need a few anger management classes..but other than that, this book ATE!

I was not expecting the twist at the end. It was such a nice ride until then to only break my heart. I loved the 2 first books in the series and it was getting comfortable. This one just surprised lol. Still a nice read.

I really like the way the author weaves all her stories together. The characters from her other books show up in most of her other novels but not in obvious ways and I love it! Sometimes it’s weird that all the characters use the same voices throughout the stories but you get used to it after a while. Finally, even though these are all romance novels, they have so many twists and turns, they are nowhere near the same old same.

It was really good. I did enjoy the twist and turns in this on and I think Dennis is by far my fave of the girls. I love their little group, it's so fun and makes me want one.

Alexandria House is an excellent writer and dealt with a serious topic in a realistic way. I love that our heroine in this story is not perfect but her friends help her to not miss out on the love of her life. All I need is to find my own Hasaan. The audiobook was great and I loved the two narrators. I am now hooked on AH books!

I've read the entire Love After series and this is by far the BEST one! I think all three books were good and I enjoy the author and those performing the audiobook but the surprise in this storyline was great.
