About this audiobook
An up-close portrait of the mind of an addict and a life unraveled by narcotics — a memoir of captivating urgency and surprising humor that puts a human face on the opioid crisis.
When word got out that Tiffany Jenkins was withdrawing from opiates on the floor of a jail cell, people in her town were shocked. Not because of the 20 felonies she’d committed, or the nature of her crimes, or even that she’d been captain of the high school cheerleading squad just a few years earlier, but because her boyfriend was a Deputy Sherriff, and his friends — their friends — were the ones who’d arrested her.
A raw and twisty, pause resisting memoir that sounds like fiction, High Achiever spans Tiffany’s life as an active opioid addict, her 120 days in a Florida jail where every officer despised what she’d done to their brother in blue, and her eventual recovery. With heart-racing urgency and unflinching honesty, Jenkins takes you inside the grips of addiction and the desperate decisions it breeds. She is a born storyteller who lived an incredible story, from blackmail by an ex-boyfriend to a soul-shattering deal with a drug dealer, and her telling brims with suspense and unexpected wit. But the true surprise is her path to recovery. Tiffany breaks through the stigma and silence to offer hope and inspiration to anyone battling the disease — whether it’s a loved one or themselves.

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I loved this book and your story. You are amazing
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5I have enjoyed watching Mrs Jenkins for a few years now. In my professional world I have worked with addicts and the effects for over 11 years. It was a great “behind the scenes” story of their struggles with addiction and to get clean.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5True testament to never lose hope. We all have a purpose. Tiffany found hers even when she admits she didn’t want to live at one point. May her story help other addicts find the strength to be their best self yet. “Keep on walking” Tif! You brought tears to my eyes, I don’t even know you but I’m so proud of the path you are taking
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Incredible gripping journey through the depths of addiction. I highly recommend listening to this book.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Tiffany Jenkins is honestly so inspirational. I love her videos her outlook and is honest in her life. She dosent seem to fake it, she shows that she isn't perfect. That's not a common thing online. I think she is beautiful and listening to her story really helped me see how things can turn around, ome recovering addict to another. She is open and honest about a disease that is judged against harshly. So many people literally wish death on drug users. It's so sad when you're at your lowest in your life (most drug addicts feel depressed and mask it by using) yet people talk about how little your life matters and how the world would be a better place. Hearing her story and how she overcame is so uplifting. She is a breath of fresh air and I really enjoyed her story. I am sk thankful she narrated this story herself. Keep being you tiffany!, it's not easy to shine a light on such a dark topic.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Her story telling was so on point I felt like I was literally there ! And it was so real that it took me back to my dark past , it was almost like reliving it. The story made me laugh and cry and just put me in all my feels!!! You rock Tiffany!!!
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Incredible and gritty story of the reality of addiction. Tiffany is an inspiration!
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5As a recovered addict and therapist I appreciate her struggles...however, her constant reminder of her perceived uniqueness about her story was off base. I’ve heard similar stories time and time again and honestly, I’ve heard much worse.
There was no congruency with her time line, hard to follow actually but maybe that’s because I listened to it. There was also a bit of arrogance and ignorance to her inner world and a lot of repetition . But this is addiction.
I’m so glad she finally got what she needed (through AA/NA) and hopefully she’s still sober. It’s a wonderful life ♥️ - Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5An amazing and honest view of what addiction is like. Trying to cover your disease, the reality of how subtle this disease is, and approached with honesty and vulnerability! I love it!
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I loved this book. It only took me one day to read because it was so good. The author has a lot of insight and expresses great humility by admitting very hard truths. She's also very clever and funny. I certainly hope she keeps writing!
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Excellent story telling!! Trigger warning for the still suffering addict!!
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Tiffany Jenkins has an incredible way of bringing you right into her story. She has a gift. Every addiction tells a story, but with her gifted way of delivering, you walk her journey, too. I spent a majority of this memoir in tears, biting my fingernails, so anxious to hear the next chapter, etc. And many times I laughed out loud. Although I've read many addiction memoirs before, this is one I needed to hear. Being familiar with her current life via social media, I felt as if I knew her already. She has an incredible sense of humor and I relate to her more than anyone else I can think of in the public eye right now. With that being said, listening to the heartfelt way she spoke of her past broke me over and over, yet filled me to the rim with encouragement just the same. Thank you Tiffany Jenkins! It's an exemplary piece of literature due to its truth and relatability. Thank you for sharing your story with the world. We need this encouragement. If more recovering addicts would share their story---if more HUMANS would admit their mistakes, faults, etc. the way you expressed yours--it would change the world. I love your videos, I'm loving your book !! I'm thankful for people like you! Thank you!!
