About this audiobook

From New York Times Bestselling authors Vi Keeland and Penelope Ward, comes the first book in a new, sexy duet.

How to kick off a great summer in the Hamptons:

Snag a gorgeous rental on the beach. Check.

Get a job at a trendy summer haunt. Check.

How to screw up a great summer in the Hamptons:

Fall for the one guy with a dark leather jacket, scruff on his face, and intense eyes that doesn't fit in with the rest of the tony looking crowd. A guy you can't have when you'll be leaving at the end of the season.

Check. Check. Check.

I should add--especially when the guy is your sexy, tattooed God of a boss.

Especially when he not only owns your place of employment but inherited half of the town.

Especially when he's mean to you.

Or so I thought.

Until one night when he demanded I get in his car so he could drive me home because he didn't want me walking in the dark.

That was sort of how it all started with Rush.

And then little by little, some of the walls of this hardass man started to come down.

I never expected that the two of us, seemingly opposites from the outside, would grow so close.

I wasn't supposed to fall for the rebel heir, especially when he made it clear he didn't want to cross the line with me.

As the temperature turned cooler, the nights became hotter. My summer became a lot more interesting--and complicated.

All good things must come to an end, right?

Except our ending was one I didn't see coming.

I thought it was a classic romantic comedy book, I was really pleasantly surprised. The characters of Rush and Gia were superb and there were twists I did not watch. Continues to the second part of the duet!! : )

OMG…this book was great. I couldn’t put it down. A great love story mixed with twists and a cliffhanger ending. I’m starting the second book immediately. One of my favorite reads in a while. I rarely do reviews so it had to be great for me to give it a review. You won’t be disappointed with this one.

This book was mostly enjoyable throughout. It was extremely formulaic (broody “alpha” male meets good girl, instant attraction ensues, which he fights in order to protect her from his broody self, etc.) but there’s something to be said for textbook romances that know exactly what they are. So I didn’t mind it. I even enjoyed it.

My rating is for that “twist’ at the end. It was so predictable that I was immediately bored before the book even ended. Now I have no interest in reading book two because there’s no guess work involved. I know exactly what the central conflict will be, which takes all the excitement out of this story. A shame.

Rush is your typical bad boy/ player / sex on a stick kinda guy.
With the biggest heart, I'm here swooning over him can't wait to start the next book!
It's a great story with a few twist and turns you kinda expected but don't see them coming. I really enjoyed it was an excellent read

Great storytelling, but beware Rebel Heir & Rebel Heart are not really stand alone, really should be 1 long book, together they’re pretty fantastic, despite the length it doesn’t feel drawn out, loved the banter, wit & humor between characters
And it would be a 5 star without the cliffhanger into RH

It was good but predictable and I saw the twist coming. What I did love was the humor and banter between the characters. What I hated was the use of the word slut so often.

I’m bailing in Chapter 18. I was really enjoying this until something that just happened - SPOILER AHEAD ——————- Gia finds out she’s pregnant by some anonymous one night stand. She automatically assumes she’s going to keep it. No conversation about , or even slight consideration given to, ending the pregnancy even though she doesn’t know the guy, doesn’t have a steady income, is trying to establish her writing career and is just falling for Rush. This changes the whole trajectory of the book and their relationship and I’m not interested.

No thanks. So much toxic masculinity portrayed as romantic. if the character isn't hot would you be okay with it? If he was some gross guy and talking like that, is it still romantic? Well guess what? It's not romantic no matter what! Why are women writing this type of character in this century? And Gia isn't much better. Spoiler - she's pregnant with his brother's baby. Two stars because despite the terrible messaging about relationships and the shitty soap opera turn in the plot, the writing is decent.

Loved the book and cliffhanger ending. I was actually pretty sure that was the outcome, but the way it was built up to the ending - amazing!

I really like this story. Rush and Gia have such a great dynamic with each other. Love to see her sass and his protective nature come to life. The last few minutes though… I saw that coming too and was not happy!

OMG to say that I LOOOVE LOVED this book would be an understatement. This book was/is hands down one of the BEST books I have listened to and enjoyed EVERYTHING about it in a really long time. It is so well written and the narrator’s were perfect match/addition. I mean every book that Sebastian York reads is a chef’s kiss, but that’s besides the point lol just READ the book you will not regret it

Omg such a good book. Totally should have seen that cliff hanger coming but I didn't. I can only imagine what's gonna be going on on the next book. Wow thats all I can say. Good book, funny characters, sexy and a suprise! Nice audio narrators too

Absolutely love this book! I burst out laughing at their playful banter so many times while falling in love with their characters and the relationship forming. The sexual tension was intense at times and it was awesome! WELL DONE AUTHORS! ??

I really, really wanted to like this because some parts are so good, but the heroine is just God awful. Any woman calling another female character a "whore" in all seriousness (multiple times) just makes me lose any good will for her.

Could have been so good but it rushed through the romance and was so predictable. There wasn’t much conflict and was therefore quite boring
