Good basic overview of Thailand. Plenty of useful maps and tidbits of information. Well organized and typical of Lonely Planet guides.

Why would you even want to visit Thailand without this book?

Accurate and extensive as usual. Smaller than the previous edition for easier storage. There is a certain feeling of smugness about the town entries at times, and a little too much sarcasm in discussions of restaurants and places to stay. Also, it would be good to have a uniform way of rating places to stay. "Has atmosphere" can mean anything.

Excellent tour guide book. Great details, information and points to look at and explore. Still use it even though a bit out of date.
