About this ebook

The Freedom Tax simplifies our tax system, reduces focus on divisive topics such as rich versus poor, and puts the attention on allowing people to live their lives without hidden and obtrusive taxes at every turn.

Imagine a world where you do not have any taxes withheld from your paycheck. Every check is hundreds of dollars more than before. It is an instantaneous and major pay increase, not like the fifty cents or so per hour raise most of us are accustomed to receiving, when we are lucky. In many cases, this would be the equivalent of working a second, part time job, without all the extra hours spent away from your family. You go to the store, and although you have to pay more for some household goods, the price of milk, bread and other grocery items has gone down. You fill up the tank in your car, but without the fuel taxes, the cost of gasoline has gone lower, which also reduces the retail price of several items you purchase everyday, since it is now less expensive to transport those goods to the market. Your utilities and cell phone bill is reduced without all those taxes you once paid. Between the extra money in your pay check, lower cost of groceries, gas, and utilities, you have a lot more disposable income to spend. Then you decide to buy a hundred dollar television. If your state has a tax rate of 30% you know you will need $130 to buy the TV. Even at that higher rate, if you spent a thousand dollars on taxable items within a month, you would only be paying three hundred dollars in taxes. (at the 30% hypothetical rate). In most cases this would be less than you would have paid in income tax alone within that same month.
It sounds nice, but could that ever happen? Are things too far gone to change? In actuality, a reality such as this is relatively simple to achieve. You just need a plan to make it happen.
