About this ebook
Bookstore shelves are lined with tomes dedicated to the finest things that life has to offer. This is all well and good, but the real entertainment is to be found not in the cream of the crop, but at the bottom of the barrel. The World's Worst is a celebration/indictment of nearly 50 infamous and little-known exemplars of the awful. In thoroughly researched, scathingly funny essays, author Mark Frauenfelder avoids the obvious and digs deep to tell the fascinating tales of the worst people, places, and things on Earth for the reader's amusement and edification. Half of the entries are also mischieviously illustrated by the author. Addictively readable, and sure to appeal to fans of the popular Worst-Case Scenario and Darwin Awards series, The World's Worst is hilariously unafraid to wallow in the mire.

- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Generally speaking, we’ve all read books like this; a series of vignettes on specific issues. The title “The World’s Worst” should give you an idea of the contents. It covers everything from Fruita, Colorado’s Mike the Headless Chicken to those whacky Breatharians and beyond. As a piece of literature, the book doesn’t reach any great heights but does get an extra ½ star for informing me that the inventor of the Sea Monkeys that were a feature of comic books back in the day was a Jewish neo-Nazi. “The World’s Worst” also sadly provided me with one of the least surprising things I’ve ever read; Oral Roberts was a scammer. You may know of some of the stories covered here but no doubt there will be enough new to you to justify reading it.

It is a short easy read that at times is entertaining what more can you ask for?
Not much so read the damn book! - Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5This was a light, quick read, and easy to pick up and put down. Overall the facts were interesting, and I didn't already know the majority of them. This would be a great book for in-between times, like waiting in lines.
