About this ebook
Trey Rood
Trey Rood, a former three-sport athlete during high school with the passion and love of football, is a twenty-two-year-old senior at University of Georgia and member of the Sigma Chi fraternity, Delta Chapter. Trey was diagnosed with stage III melanoma cancer near the end of his freshman year of high school, then relapsed to stage IV melanoma the start of his senior year. In the book, "Changing the Game Plan," Trey and his mother Cherie tell their compelling story of how they fought melanoma, one of the deadliest forms of cancer. They not only show their will to do whatever it takes to survive, but to also stay positive, never give up hope, and keep the faith through an experience that will inspire many.

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Changing the Game Plan . . . Awesome, touching, motivating, moving, captivating, victorious, powerful, fantastic, dynamic, heartfelt, tear jerker, and an amazing tale. Truly, words itself cannot describe the emotions sparked from walking this journey (alongside the Rood Family). In this amazing tale, its audience travels through each medical episode as the fluids flow through the veins . . . placing readers in the moment. And such a challenging moment it was. The voices of many who shared their experiences (being among the family) no doubt gave great depth and insight into the footsteps personally taken. The format, the authors, used to present their story was an impressive and thought out process. Its story and scenes are extremely well-developed and easy to follow. In the midst of reading this phenomenal and challenging venture, it’s as though one was truly walking the journey themselves. OMG, for an adult, the toxicity of this relationship is a devastating effect. Regardless, no child should ever have to endure its journey and all the many injections it can lead into. Truly, my heart goes out to ANY parent that has to experience the wrath of this toxicity inflicted upon their child. But just to know that this angel (Trey) fought long and hard to triumph fully overcome his battle was very inspirational. This is definitely an educational and remarkable tale. I applaud the authors for exposing a marvelous story. There was so very much to learn from walking their journey. Surely, it’s a story of faith that will live in the minds of many for years to come; and makes for a wonderful Christmas stocking stuffer.
