Chapter-1
Samarpan
The symbolic war of Mahabharata between Kaurabs and Pandavas at Kurukshetra in ancient India witnessed one of the most conscious lessons being taught by Bhagaban Shri Krishna to Arjuna. The lessons agglomerated into the form of Bhagavad Gita. This was a war between two rivalries in one kingdom. The war was so special that this produced one of the most necessity facts, knowledge for the humanity to raise their consciousness towards the purpose of the universe. This is not a story written in many pages of a book but the necessary elements for the human consciousness for a better life, to know the purpose of life and about its creator, the Almighty. In this book I have tried my best to put up some of the facts from Bhagavad Gita to know about the relation between human being and the Almighty. I have tried to put on some light to improve the life in modern days with consciousness of the old teachings.
ye tu sarvani karmani mayi sannyasya mat-parah
ananyenaiva yogena mam dhyayanta upasate.
tesam aham samuddharta mrtyu-samsara-sagarat
bhavami na cirat partha mayy avesita-cetasam.
Above verses are mentioned in verses 6 & 7, chapter-12 of Bhagavad Gita states the teachings of Bhagaban Shri Krishna to Arjuna. He stated those devotees worship God and give up all their activities unto the Supreme Soul without any deviation, always engaged in devotional activities, meditating upon the Supreme Soul by fixing their mind, for them the Supreme Soul is the swift deliverer from the ocean of birth and death
.
But after getting birth into this magnificent material world and enjoying the benefits of the material world surrounding the mankind, is it so easy for the human being to give up all the activities and life to the Supreme Soul?
Then what should be the meaning of giving up all the activities for a common man unto Supreme Soul?
If anybody keeps his earthly body in front of the image of a God for days or weeks or months, can it be called as surrendering to God?
Then what is Samarpan i.e. surrendering to the Almighty?
How is it done?
How one common man prepares him for giving up all his activities unto Almighty?
Staying from family, home and the material world, living lonely in dense forest and worshiping God, chanting God’s name, do you realize these activities will full fill the purpose of Samarpan?
These are many questions out of the box come to human mind.
Getting birth into this beautiful world, why one person should involve himself in devotional activities, try to generate transcendental love for the Supreme Soul?
Is it necessary to realize the eternal feelings for the Supreme Soul in a human’s life time?
In the whole universe the human being is great creature. Human being is different from any other creature in this universe, but advanced and intelligent. The big difference between human being and other creatures is the human mind, the intellect. The intelligence of all the human being is not same, then why? Those human being who are able to understand the purpose of his life and his existence, his intelligence becomes better and better from life after life.
One of the most important and necessary purpose of human life is to surrender all his activities unto the Supreme Soul. It is quite different from all other purposes of human life. It is the duty of the human being to understand and realize the necessity of this purpose of Samarpan.
Then for a common man how to prepare for Samarpan?
In the whole universe, whatever a human being can find, it is his own body which is very close to him. Any time do you
