I started playing guitar at age 7 in 1977. This book has EVERYTHING you need to know to set up a new guitar, intonate a guitar that's not been played for awhile (as well as adjusting the truss rod[s]). Every guitarist should know how to take apart and put together every style guitar he or she has (believe me, knowing your guitar inside out will help you notice any potential problems before a gig). Every guitarist should also own a good quality guitar maintenance kit. It goes without saying, every guitarist should know how to set up his or her guitar. I highly recommend this book. (For more detailed info on measuring fret to string height using a steel rule, check out Taylor guitar's website.)
