ridiculous, different seating positions for women and men. lol so old-fashioned i recommend you follow a book that doesn't advocate automatically handicapping female players with poor seating position.

Great book to lay strong and fundamental skills in music reading and guitar playing.Clear and concise instruction from the basics such as positioning your hand and guitar. The lesson is laid from the ground up and in section of which you can easily understand and remember along with practice. Black and white pictures so the book has clearly been written many years ago but you will soon find the techniques are very relevant and applicable 'til this day and that once you learned through the book, you'd able to distill everything to a simpler and more basic approach than getting tangled up with the information you're following and learning on Youtube, Christopher also outline that learning to play the basics in classical guitar will offer you much greater ease to play more sophisticated pieces. I have enjoyed the lesson so and have even started to be able to read and play notes for the first 3 frets, with proper beats and rhyme. Christopher was a student of the Andres Segovia, his techniques always focus on mastering the fundamentals to build up your skills and I really recommend guitar beginners to start with this book.
