About this ebook

"[A]n irresistible tale of power and love, friendship and acceptance… Charming and insightful." — Romantic Times

This bundle includes three full-length no-cliffhanger romantic comedies about Jane Madison, a librarian who finds out she's a witch.

Girl's Guide to Witchcraft: Jane Madison has a problem. Or two. Or three.  She's working as a librarian, trapped in a low-paying job. She has a desperate crush on her Imaginary Boyfriend. Her grandmother is trying to reunite her with her long-absent mother. And now, she's a witch—complete with a compelling astral protector and a sassy familiar!

Sorcery and the Single Girl: Jane Madison must join the Washington Coven or she'll lose her compelling astral protector, David Montrose (along with her magical books and feline familiar.) But she's distracted by her handsome new boyfriend, a charming Brit! Is sorcery the answer to Jane's problems? Or does magic spell "disaster" to her love life?

Magic and the Modern Girl: Jane learns a magical lesson the hard way: use it or lose it! Her neglected powers are disappearing and things are rocky with her compelling warder David Montrose (after an unexpectedly amorous encounter.) So, of course, she meets a great guy—the type of man a smart woman marries. Can Jane fix everything with one last spell?

Mindy Klasky

Mindy Klasky learned to read when her parents shoved a book in her hands and told her that she could travel anywhere in the world through stories. She never forgot that advice. When Mindy isn't "traveling" through writing books, she quilts, cooks and tries to tame the endless to-be-read shelf in her home library. You can visit Mindy at her Web site, www.mindyklasky.com.

Nice, fast read. So glad Jane Madison does what she did at the very end of the book and can't wait to read the next one.

As enjoyable as the first book in the trilogy, our librarian friend discovers the value of her independence.

This is the second in a series, the followup to Klasky's A Girl's Guide to Witchcraft. In the first, Jane Madison finds out that she is a witch, with a familiar, Neko, and a warder (teacher and guardian) David. In this one, she is set a challenge in order to become part of the powerful DC area ccoven.Jane has to learn to balance the need for intensive study about witchcraft with her job as a librarian, her duties to family and her best friend, and her romance with Graeme, who seems her ideal man. Overall , the characterizations are good, and the depiction of witchcraft is pretty accurate. The only thing I found rather unbelievable was that having been badly betrayed by a man in the first book that Jane would enter so easily into another relationship with a somewhat mysterious figure.Recommended.

Sorcery and the Single Girl by Mindy Klasky - I didn't like this as well as Klasky's first effort. Jane just seemed too unaware, too gullible, too needy in this outing. Yeah, maybe she's still getting used to the fact that she is a witch and that not all witches are "good", but she still should have recognized Haylee's motives (for example) using "real world" smarts. Still, it wasn't bad enough to swear off Klasky. There's supposed to be a new book out in October. I'll have to make a note.

Jane is back and fighting for the right to retain her magical legacy. She's also struggling with those deep down insecurities that she felt in high school in connection with the popular crowd. I really disliked the way Jane was taken advantage of because of those insecurities - and I wish there had been better communication between Jane and her warder. But Jane kicks butt in the end and it was awesome!

Synopsis: Jane Madison and her best friend Melissa usually have Mojito Therapy at the end of each week. Both are unattached, looking for a significant relationship and having bad luck. While Melissa is a baker with her own bakery, Jane is a librarian and a witch. The librarian job is mainly normal, but being a witch with a warder and a familiar can lead to problems. Jane is really surprised with the local coven invites her to come to one of their meetings and is tentatively accepted if she can perform a duty for them. She, her warder, and familiar are delighted, but things start to go wrong – except that Jane may have found the man of her dreams. Unfortunately, because Melissa is jealous of Neko (Jane’s familiar) Jane has promised not to tell either Neko or her warder about this new man. Things go from bad to worse when Jane finds that the only witch who has befriended her was the one who had her warder demoted; there are still bad feelings between them. And things continue to get worse until Jane realizes that the coven isn’t what she thinks it is.Review: Second in the series and continues to develop the characters. These books are brain candy; just fun to read.
