At first I was hesitant, but now I'm very happy that I went through this lovely, yet sometimes brutally frank and sharp biography of, possibly, the greatest chess player that ever walked the earth.

The fears and demons that - in his youth - enabled him to isolate himself from the entire world and focus 100% on his beloved game, returned to him in his sunset to seek price for their services, and to push him deeper into paranoia and madness.

We are allowed to observing such genius from close distance - even if only through eyes and words of his friend Helgi, and even if only in the most bitter, final phase of his life.
