About this ebook
Most people are aware of the Trans-Pacific Trade Partnership, but few Americans are aware of two other secret agreements. The first is the Trade in Services Agreement with Europe, which will impact every service sector job in the U.S.A. The service sector makes up 80% of the U.S. economy. The second is the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership, which will impact all financial services, putting private banking, debt, healthcare and insurance under the control of foreign corporations. Both Europe and the U.S. will suffer massive job loss as local small business and corporations become crushed under the boot of foreign corporations.
Foreign corporations will be treated as though they were national, with the same rights as domestic businesses, but the inclusion of the Investor State Dispute Settlement Provision in the agreements will allow foreign corporations to go before the World Trade Organization to get damages if they believe they are not getting sufficient profits. The result of these two agreements will be massive job loss, with the most jobs lost in the U.S., and corporations will have complete power over legislation in the nations they believe gets in the way of profits.
Gideon Amharod
Gideon Amharod is an amateur historian with a strong interest in ethics and politics, dismayed by the deep sectarian divisions in the country which are the result of lack of economic opportunity for ordinary people. He is dismayed by the extreme power of the 1% and the influence of too much money in politics. Gideon believes there are no domestic problems that cannot be worked out if everyone is treated fairly and equitably. When not reading politics or working, Gideon enjoys golfing, fishing, and raising hunting dogs.
