Cowra Junior Champions crowned The 2008 Australian Junior Long Track Championship has been successfully run

and won in Cowra over the weekend, with some standout performances among the 148 competing riders. Despite temperamental weather, which saw a one-hour delay in the middle of the meeting, the meeting was a roaring success, with the rain unable to put a dampener on the mood at the track. It was a sight to see, all the spectators lining the fence to witness some exceptional junior racing on the Woodstock Park circuit. On Saturday, a parade of all riders was impressive led by former World Champion, Wayne Gardner on the Cowra Motors sponsored vehicle with the National Anthem professionally sung by local girl, Angie Day. All riders from 4 to 16 years battled it out over the 2 days with the Cowra boys local track knowledge proving too much for their opposition. The hard working Cowra Motorcycle Racing Club Committee are congratulated on an excellently run meeting.
