Welcome to fourth grade! I am excited about the new school year, and look forward to working with your wonderful children! We are a group of 17, though I wouldnt be surprised if we grow a bit in numbers as the year progresses. Having said that, I believe my group of students will make strides in their learning. I plan on helping each child work toward his or her potential. Please do not hesitate to call or come by if you have any questions or concerns.

Math
I am teaching skills in chapter 0 of our math series. Chapter 0 is a review of skills taught in third grade. All lessons are online, and you will have the opportunity to access them at home if needed. Your children will be assigned a user name and pass word.

Science Steps of the Scientific Method Social Studies Geography

Reading/Language Arts
I am teaching classroom routines/procedures and doing pretests this week and next. As the results of the pretests become apparent, I will then determine the best course of educational action for each student in not only reading, but all core subjects. Currently, we are reading the novel The Chocolate Touch by Patrick Skene Catling. The list of spelling words below is taken from the novel which will be tested on Friday, August 31. -Reminder: Students should spend time reading each week. I suggest 20 minutes a day.
