Influential Artists

Claude Monet
1840-1926 The founder of French impressionist painting, expressing ones perception before nature. Monets work captures movement and the most beautiful combination of colours which really fascinates me. Though the style is not of what Im aiming for, for this project, the use of colour and atmosphere most certainly is. He captures movement through his brushstrokes, and uses interesting composition to include the viewer into the piece. His history is truly inspiring and his work is awe worthy.

Thero Prins
A Californian artist, who has worked freelance since 2007. His personal work focuses on Urban scenery, and his most recent commercial work was concept art for Guild Wars 2. The colours he chooses are stunning, and the use of the brush strokes, and the feeling of the transparency of the strokes creates such an atmosphere, with strong lighting and interesting composition.

Adam Adamowicz
1968-2012 A polish concept artist, who grew up in New York best known for his work at Bethesda Softworks. Adamowicz inspires me through his blog, where he shows the steps and thought process of his work. I had been a fan of his blog for a year, and was upset to find out it had come to an end. His work inspires me to work, and the worlds he creates are full of personality. Its mainly his thumbnails which interest me most.
