Reading: We will be reading a chapter book with the class and working on main idea. Writing: We will be comparing and contrasting in our writing. Math: We will be continuing chapter 4 working with numbers up to the hundred thousand place. Students will have a test on chapter 4 on Thursday. Social Studies: We will be talking about different levels of government, including local, state, and national government. Science: We will be learning about food webs and making a model of a food web.

News and Announcements

An information and signup sheet went home Thursday relating to our class holiday party. We will be having a holiday mug exchange and eating brunch. Then we will drink hot chocolate and share our favorite holiday books with our friends. Students are welcome to wear their pajamas at school that day. We will be doing secret Santa this year for one of the familys at MACS. The third grade is responsible for a family with four children: a 9 year old boy, a 6 year old girl, a 3 year old boy, and a 2 year old girl. Please keep this family in your thoughts as you are shopping this weekend. On Monday well send home a letter with more specifics. Lets work together to help this family have a great holiday! We need a family or two to volunteer to water our garden once a week over winter break. This would be easy if you drive by the school on your way home! Please let Mrs. Varady know if youre able to help out. Thanks!
