Procedure for VU license renewal

1. You need to have at least 40 QSOs in the log for every year of the past period of your license to be eligible for renewal. 2. The license has to be renewed before the expiry date or a late fee added of Rs. 10 for every 6 months or part of 6 months. A maximum of less than 5 years late with Rs.100 late fee is renewable. ( The period of 5 years is relaxable if the reasons are good ) 3. Renewal fees are for either 2 or 5 years at the following rate Advance Grade 1 Grade 2 Restricted SWL Rs. Rs. Rs. Rs. Rs. 4. A STATE BANK of INDIA demand draft of the renewal amount (+ late fees if applicable) made out to Pay & Accounts officer (HQ) Department of Telecom Payable at Service Branch, New Delhi (Code No. 7687) 5. Photocopy of your license, your last renewal card. Photocopy the DD on the back of your covering letter as proof! (This is in your interest. WPC is not interested in these papers ) 6. Registered mail with acknowledgement due to The Asstt. Wireless Advisor to the GOI, DOT, WPC Wing, COP Cell, Room No.-616, 6th Floor, Sanchar Bhawan, 20, Ashoka Road, New Delhi-110 001

DELETE/STRIKE OUT PARTS OF THE LETTER THAT MAY NOT BE APPLICABLE,

i.e. late fee etc.
