LTE, LTE-Advanced, and Beyond

Instructor Led | Duration: 1 Day

To counteract the tsunami of wireless data traffic, cellular operators around the world are deploying 4G LTE networks. As the demand continues to push the envelope of the capabilities of LTE, operators are looking at ways to improve the coverage, capacity and user experience while keeping the cost of running the network down. This session provides an overview of the key features of LTE (R8, R9, R10, and beyond) such as Voice over LTE (VoLTE), support for E-911, location services, carrier aggregation, MIMO enhancements, Coordinated Multipoint (CoMP) and Heterogeneous Networks (HetNet) to equip participants with an essential understanding of these features. This course assumes that the participant already has understanding of Release 8 LTE.

Intended Audience
This course is intended for those involved in engineering functions such as planning, product management, design and deployment as well as those who need to understand the place of LTE and LTE-Advanced in the 4G wireless landscape.
