EVOLUTION CHANGES

An issue with Pokmon games for a lot of players is that many Pokmon need to be traded either with or without an item - in order to trade. This hack solves that problem by making the game 'self-contained', or allowing you to perform each evolution within the game itself. Some of the Unovian evolution levels have also been reduced to make them still useful in a mixture of quicker evolving counterparts. In these cases, level up moves have been adjusted correspondingly, although this is currently only in place for the Complete version. The Vanilla version will have the level up moves as normal. The tables below show you the unevolved Pokmon, its evolved counterpart, and the new method for obtaining it (in most cases this is just using the item it needed to be traded with). You can find the locations for these items in the "Item & Trade Changes" document. There are a couple evolutions that have had a new item made just for them; players of Sacred Gold & Storm Silver will probably recognise them. They are known as the Woodland Ore, the Frozen Ore, and a new item called the Covenant Ore (which is a new counterpart to the SG/SS Covenant Orb, coming into existence due to technical difficulties.) It's worth noting that every single evolution item is now obtainable in the Route 9 department store, as well. All field item changes can be seen in another document, though.
