I pulled up and printed the grades to assess whether the students grades were improving and if students were excelling in honors coursework. 2. I assessed the improvement of the AVID students on Math and Reading DCAS scores from the Fall when they began the program to the spring. These improvements were then compared to their classmates on the Coyote team. I had the AVID students take a survey that assessed their view of the AVID program. They answered questions regarding their initial introduction into the program, the academic strategies they have learned, whether they think the program has helped them in college preparedness and whether it has helped them improve as a student. *They were also provided with a follow up demographic survey. **A copy of the student survey is attached below.. 1. Interviews of AVID site team- AVID coordinator, elective teacher, administrator, counselor, and core subject Coyote teachers on the AVID site team (I did not interview the Science Teacher who is currently a long term substitute.)

Through this interview I inquired about the effectiveness of the AVID training that each teacher had received. I investigated whether they felt the goal of the AVID program at Springer was clear to them and our school. They also discussed if the AVID site team meetings were effective, if they implemented AVID strategies in their own classroom, and whether or not they felt the students were benefiting from AVID and why or why not.

ELA and AVID elective teacher were interviewed on March 12th. All other teachers were interviewed on the Teacher Work Day on March 28th.
