Also there is interesting part of involving Tesla one wire resonant power transmission system which was shortened down to transmitter coil having receiver coil straight on same air core transformer. PM: The best approach is with air core transformer and air core choke inside of it. If you choose core then it comes down to core's own resonant frequency and to levels where NMR starts to occur and is better to avoid that because it is not what you are intended to test. The main target is to get strong magnetic field in air core transformer with help of resonance in series then try to modulate it with secondary magnetic field coming from choke. For the start induction oven circuit is good enough for driving just needs some modification for low voltages. The input power drops to minimal in resonance on parallel and you most likely know about it. This is another step to minimize input power. To test magnetic field strength inside of air core the wrench or similar amount of metal is enough. They should get hot in relatively small time frame. If they do heat up you are on correct path. It is best to keep with Tesla coil building rules because that choke gets in same
