Non-fiction Book Report for Edison Honors Summer Reading

Choose a book from the list of books you received from your teacher. If you cannot find
the list, it is posted on the Edison library web site, and the Champaign Public Library has
a copy of the titles as well. Read your book and complete this book report. Turn it in to
your reading teacher at the beginning of the next school year. Read another book of
your choice (doesn’t have to be from the list) and complete the appropriate book report
for that title. Read other books of your choice and record the titles on the “Books I Read
This Summer” list. Be prepared to teach a lesson to your class based on your selection
from the list. Use your book to illustrate one of these reading strategies: author’s
purpose, predicting, sequencing, making connections.
