Reviewing the corporate recruitment practices

Hiring talented individuals is critical to the success of organization. A poorly designed recruitment process can result into increasing unnecessary cost to the companys overheads, hence recruitment is a significant business decision and a challenging task for any organization. Before engaging in the recruitment process it becomes imperative for the management to clearly understand the companys operational requirements, projected revenues and business goals, and then determine the types of skills and competencies required to meet those needs. This project is focused on reviewing the recruitment strategies adopted by the companies. You are required to select any organisation of your choice and review the recruitment strategies adopted by the company. Research should focus on 1. 2. 3. 4. the methods of recruitment adopted by the company; the process of recruitment followed by the company; modes of recruitment advertising used by the company; number of times the company has to undertake recruitment process in a year.

Research should include the conclusions and comments on success/failure of the recruitment process followed by the company and suggestions on improving such practices. Project Guidelines 1. Project is individual and hence the organisation selected by one student should not be repeated by other/s. Students are therefore required to register with the name of the organisation selected for the project with the prof-in-charge (Prof. Jasbir kaur Sodi) in order to avoid the repititon of the organisation.
