This generally happens, if you are out of office and your password got locked or changed. And
you’re trying to logon with new password. Because you are out of office and you don’t have the
office network available and new password always needs authentication from the server before it
get stored to your local profile.
Solution:
1. Log on to the machine locally (Connect to your office VPN, if you are not in the office)
2. Open command prompt and type Net Time \\Servname (Your Server Name)
3. After the command completed successfully, ALT + CTRL+Delete and choose switch user
and you will be able to login with the new password now
