Dear Chairman Obey:

I am requesting funding for Programs Serving At-Risk Youth in fiscal year 2010.
The entity to receive funding is Covenant House California, located at 200
Harrison Street, Oakland, CA 94607. This funding will be combined with private
donations to create a continuum of critically needed programs and services that
lead to self sufficiency and independence for underserved, at-risk homeless
youth, ages 18-24. The services provided include emergency shelter, transitional
housing, intensive case management, mental health and psychiatric counseling,
life skills classes, and educational and employment training. I certify that I have
no financial interest in this project.
