Dear Chairman Obey and Ranking Member Lewis,

I am requesting funding for police equipment including a license plate reader in

the fiscal year 2010. The entity to receive funding for this project is the Village of
Hastings-on-Hudson, located at 7 Maple Avenue, Hastings-on-Hudson, NY 10706. The
funding would be used to assist the police in finding missing persons, retrieving stolen
vehicles, identifing expired vehicle registrations, and apprehending fugitives more
rapidly. I certify that neither I nor my spouse has any financial interest in this project.
