The Honorable Jerry Lewis

Committee on Appropriations

Washington, DC 20515

Dear Chairman Obey and Ranking Member Lewis:

I am requesting funding for the John Jay College Reentry Policy & Practice in Fiscal
Year 2010. The entity to receive funding for this project is John Jay College, located at
899 10th Ave, New York, NY 10019. The funding would be used to establish a national
research clearinghouse on reentry issues and foster the structural and sustained
contributions of non-criminal justice disciplines. I certify that neither I nor my spouse
has any financial interest in this project.

Sincerely,

l.e~
