Students were well acquainted with the Basic parts design and effect of various loading ( individual /combined) in different components of machine using various theories of failure. 2. Students had a fairly broad idea of steps involved in design of each machine assembly (Beams, Gears, Springs, Bearings , Cylinders & cylinder heads, clutches and brakes so on ) and types of loading (fatigue, static and impact, and so on). 3.
