GROUP LEARNING CONTRACT T5 Overall theme The theme of our project is to learn how to ride a horse. Taking into account that we are going to start from scratch, we want to lose the fear and then we want to have a basic level to feel comfortable with the horse and be able to ride a horse naturally. Justification The reason why we want to involve in this project is on the one hand, that we want to improve ourselves personally in riding horses, because we really love it and when we see people who can do it, we envy them a lot and we want to be able too. On the other hand, we know that riding horses can be used as a therapy for children with special needs. This is because taking into account that in the future we are going to be teachers; we want to achieve this knowledge and transmit it and respond to our student needs. This issue also motivate us because it originate from ours interests, because it is going to be practical and relevant for our nowadays and future life. Objectives In this project we want to meet the following goals: We want to achieve the knowledge of riding horses. We want to learn how we can transmit it to our student. We want to enjoy learning.

With all this, our final goal is to be able to ride a horse alone, fearless and have a walk enjoying the sights and going quietly throughout the grounds (up hills, down hills, going to the walk, trot ). Besides that, we want to achieve the knowledge of using riding horses as a therapy, because we want to use our knowledge for the children benefits. Although that goals, we know that these are going to be just the first steps. So, we know that when we finished this project we will continue learning and practicing to achieve more awareness. Membership T.5: Jara Galan Yara Isasi Responsibilities of First of all we have to say that in general in this project we are going to the members work together. Moreover, we will share all the work to have both all the

information and the same responsibility and to life all the faces of the project too. Despite this, we know that we have our own abilities; to exploit those abilities in the following points we are going to specify the individual works. Jara: orthography corrections, the informal interview, and the meeting days. Forms of communication Decisions Yara: coordinate the work and the formal interview. As we both live in San Sebastian, in general we are going to communicate face to face and through meeting, but in other moments we will use the email, the telephone, Docs and the Blog (howtorideahorse43.weebly.com) Before starting with this section, we have to say that is not the first work or project we make together. Over those years we have coincided in several works, which is why we know each other and why we think that our project is going to be based in a confidence to say what we think, what we want, which are our interests, our feelings, our fears Therefore, we think that the way or the principal strategies for make decisions are going to be speaking, and taking into account what we want, discussing and reaching in agreement. Emergencies As we have said before, we already know each other and we know that both of as are very responsible and that if one day one of as cannot meet or do what it supposed to do, we will know that is has been because of something important. Even so, we know that we have to consider all the options, and if an emergence situation happens, the solution will be to speak and try to solve the problem to reach a mutually beneficial agreement. Timeline To get a general idea of the project we have done a calendar specifying the dates and what we have to do in those days. However, we have to underline that this calendar is flexible, so if we see that we cannot do something in that day we will do in another day or will try to do it at home. The calendar we have foreseen is the following one: 26th OF SEPTEMBER: Create the group and speak about the theme we

have chosen. Share our intentions and feelings and start doing the contract. 28th OF SEPTEMBER: Speak with the people we have to interview and try to put a date to do it. Create the Blog and the diary to continue the project properly. 1st OF OCTOBER: Finish the contract, start finding information about how to ride a horse and continue with the diary. 3rd OF OCTOBER: Continue with the information and the diary. 6th OF OCTOBER: Have the first lesson of riding horses and write in the diary our experience and our feelings. 8th OF OCTOBER: Start editing the first lessons video. Continue with the diary. 10th OF OCTOBER: Coaching session T5. Prepare the first interviews questions. 13th OF OCTOBER: Do the first interview and have the second lesson. 15th OF OCTOBER: Look at the first interview and take the most relevant parts of it. Start editing the second lessons video. Continue with the diary. 17th OF OCTOBER: Continue editing the videos. 20th OF OCTOBER: Do the second interview and have the third lesson. 22nd OF OCTOBER: Finish with the video of the second interview and the third lesson; and select the relevant information for our project. 24th OF OCTOBER: Begin to shape the project in the Blog and in Docs. And compare our sensations, our process Until OCTOBER to JANUARY: Even we start our practices, we will continue with the lessons and with the project. To do that, we are going to meet every weekend to follow with the lessons, with the Blog and with the

videos recording and editing. We think that we will need 10 lessons, and after that we will draw some conclusions. We preview that the lessons are going to be of 1 hour minimum, depending on the days, the weather and how we are feeling. Strategies Resources and - Looking for information surfing the internet: before starting with the practical lessons we want to look for some useful information as: videos, others experiences we want to soak in information of that topic. - With the interviews: we would like to know different points of view about that topic. Therefore we would like to hear different versions of it. On the one hand, we would like to know the version of someone who lives this topic as a hobby and on the other hand the experience of someone who lives it in a professional and therapeutic way. - Practicing: we really believe that apart from the theoretical information, the best way of learning is practicing. Obviously it is important to have a theoretical base but if we dont know how to do it, our knowledge is going to be incomplete. - Working in group and helping each other: we will identify the strengths and weaknesses we have, that mean that we will take into account the strong and weak points of each other and we will try to help the other to improve them. Apart from that, we will share our process, our experiences, our fears and our achievements to enrich each other. All of this working in a cooperative and collaborative way. Evaluation To prove that we have achieved our aims, we will make videos of all the days we meet to see the progress. In this videos will see the start, our process and the end. We supposed that with this instrument we will see our progress and we will be able to see, to prove and to justify if we achieve our aims or not. Apart from that, we are going to make a diary in the Blog (howtorideahorse43.weebly.com) and taking into account the information of our progress day by day, our feelings in the process and our feelings at the end of the project; we will do an evaluation.

To make this evaluation we will ask ourselves and our peer this questions: Final presentation How did we ride a horse before? How do we ride a horse now? How did we feel in the first lesson? And now? Do we know more about riding horses? And riding horses as a therapy? Are we capable to transmit our knowledge to children? Are we feeling able to help to a child with special needs in this area? We are going present a video in which we are going to try to describe our learning process in a clear and easy way. We will upload it in YouTube of the account of HUHEZI but as private. So, in this way we can share it with everyone we want but no one more will see it. Of course in the presentation the video will be accompanied with an explanation about our process from the first day until last day, our feelings through all the process and our conclusions. Language improvement To improve our language we are going to take some steps as: Create a glossary Watch films and series in English with subtitles in English Try to speak in English with some friends Look for information in English and try to understand it without translators.
