Continue to address all subject areas so that Hillside may be able to meet or exceed the state standard. Hillside Elementary's vision and mission is the guiding force that will ensure that our students have the academic learning tools to be successful in post secondary education. All stakeholders will work collaboratively to ensure that each child has the best learning opportunity possible.

Hillside has a positive discipline intervention in place and will continue to provide a positive and interactive learning environment for all students. The administration will vigorously implement intense attendance intervention strategies for Pre-Kinder and Kinder students who make up the majority of the high percentage of high absences.

Family and Community Engagement

Hillside Elementary provides at least 1% of our Title I funds to support parental engagement activities. Parents are involved in the campus decision making process by having them serve on our CIT. Parents' choice of parent classes are done via a survey done at the beginning of the school year. 1. Our campus has two computer labs that are used for Easy Tech practice and /or instruction and for after school tutoring. 2. Our teachers have received training on how to use the Smartboards to support their classroom instruction. 3. All classrooms have computers which have internet access. All teachers have been issued a district lap top and IPAD. The school website has increased activity by teachers posting their individual links.

1. Every classroom will be issued 2-4 ipads for student use. 2. Technology instruction will continue to progress and new technology updates are available. We have made progress on the STAR chart, but need to continue to improve at least by one level on all domains. We will continue the development of teacher sites on the school web page.

Hillside Elementary will continue to support all technology initiatives set forth by EPISD. We will ensure that TIER II 5th grade students have access to the Science Intervention Lab by providing a science teacher to facilitate that instruction. Our campus will continue to subscribe to web based instructional programs that reinforce content areas. The school website will continue to formulate as teachers develop their individual classroom sights. The integration of ipads will continue to develop.

G. Demographics

Hillside will continue to provide opportunities for all economically disadvantaged students and LEP students to meet the state STAAR and other state mandated tests by debriefing with teachers and allowing for teachers to plan as a grade level in order to ensure horizontal alignment that will lead to vertical alignment of all subject areas.
