In French class we learned the obvious, French! By the end of the two trimesters I had learned at least 150 plus terms. I learned also common interaction you would do with someone in France. This stuff can be very important in my future. To start we learned how to interact with someone who you may meet if youre in a French speaking country. An example is when you greet someone, you dont hug them you give them a kiss on each cheek. Certain words we learned may have a different pronunciation in different expressions. The term zut means shoot normally. But if you say zut!! with expression it means a word that would be deemed inappropriate in this essay. So expression makes all the difference. We learned almost every common term you need to know if you were a tourist in a French speaking country. I found all this very interesting and actually quite useful (compared to others). In the science career world, knowing a foreign language can be very useful. Scientists have to travel all around the world, and many times may involve somewhere French is the primary language. You may even have to move to a foreign country in some situations for a certain job. With taking a French class I feel Im one step farther ahead of getting my dream job.
