TC109 Make and or follow a set of rules and procedures.

When you think of high school float building, you think of the seniors are the ones with the best floats. In my grades case this wasnt true. Sophomore and junior year we won! What we had that the other grades lacked was teamwork. And with that teamwork we also needed well-respected leaders. To begin, we had many moments of stress. With stress you need a leader to TC103: Anticipate the impact of actions or words on others. This means lead with power but dont be mean or a nuisance. Workers wont listen to a leader who yells and treats them without respect. For example, if a mistake is made, simply say its ok and dont worry about it. Walk around and help, dont make it look like youre just a lazy leader. When doing our floats I would go around and say how great the floats looking and what a great job we are doing. By the time the day is done, I hope I have told everyone great job you worked hard and had multiple positive comments towards others. Leaders also need to make sure to TC109 Make and or follow a set of rules and procedures. There are multiple rules of float building. Some examples are: Must be flowered, height regulations and of course be appropriate with the theme. So our leaders and advisors are constantly making sure everything is in check. If something is wrong we need it to be corrected before it is too late. We also set up our own rules; we need float building times and days. And we try to make every day a certain procedure style. The first few days are making the structure and the last few are the finishing touches. Science involves a team atmosphere. You and your team need a whole procedure (written) for your experiment before you can release it to the general public. And a team will have different feelings of you by the way your actions are. A rude and demanding leader will be ignored by their team. My actions or words on simply my friends can cause a great impact. If Im rude I wont keep my friends (or make friends). And when hitting adulthood following a procedure can be the base of you keeping your job or losing your job.
