Fee Structure

(I) Registration and tuition fee for Common Proficiency Test (CPT)

The registration for CPT Course will be valid for a period of 3 years from the date the
student becomes eligible to appear in CPT exam for the first time or for the period so
long the student continues to appear in the examination regularly whichever is later.
Accordingly the registration of a student will continue to be valid as long as the
student continues to appear in the CPT exam irrespective of the period involved which
may be beyond three years. After expiry of the period of 3 years from the date the
student became eligible to appear in CPT for the first time, his registration will lapse.
However, the registration shall not lapse if such student has appeared in at least one
of the last two examinations conducted just before the end of three years. The
registration of such student shall however lapse in case he subsequently does not
appear in two consecutive examinations.
A student whose registration gets lapsed will be eligible for re-registration. Such
students will be required to re-register himself/herself by paying a nominal
revalidation fee of Rs.500/-.
Switch over from PE-I to CPT
Students of Professional Education (Course-I) who have not exhausted 5 consecutive
attempts may switch over to Common Proficiency Test (CPT) course by making a
remittance of Rs.100/-.
Those students who have exhausted all the attempts will have to register afresh by
paying full registration fees for CPT, i.e., Rs.3500/- applicable at present.

The above-mentioned fees are to be paid along with filled in Application for
registration of PCC, Form Nos. 102 & 103 for registration of articled training and
specified form for registration of ITT.

The registration for PCC/PE-II Course will be valid for a period of 5 years from the
date of initial registration. Further the registration will continue to be valid as long as
the student continues to appear in either or both groups of the PCC exam irrespective
of the period involved which may be beyond five years. After expiry of the period of 5
years from the date the student initially registered himself/herself for PCC/PE-II
course his registration will lapse except where such student has appeared in at least
one of the last two examinations conducted just before the end of five years. The
registration of such student shall however lapse in case he subsequently does not
appear in two consecutive examinations.

A student whose registration gets lapsed will be eligible for re registration. Such
students will be required to re-register himself/herself by paying a nominal
revalidation fee of Rs.500/-.
(i). Switch over from PE-II to PCC – applicable to those students who have not
exhausted 5 consecutive attempts

* An existing student of Professional Education (Course–II), who joined the course after
passing Foundation/Professional Education (Course – I) and has also not exhausted 5
consecutive attempts and opts for switching over to PCC is exempt from payment of
Registration fee with the Board of Studies and tuition fee of Rs.4000. He has to pay
Rs.400 towards cost of study materials and Rs.250 for re-registration fee. He should
indicate in writing his option to switch over to PCC.

If such a student opts for switching over to PCC who has already paid registration fee
of Rs.2000 for 250 hours Compulsory Computer Training Programme, he is exempt from
payment of Registration fee for 100 hours Information Technology Training on
production of fee receipt. Students should attach a copy of such fee receipt along with
filled Form Nos. 102 & 103.
Notes:
1. Existing students of Professional Education (Course-II), who want to switch over to
Professional Competence Course (PCC) and did not pay earlier Registration fee for 250
Hours Compulsory Computer Training/100 Hours Information Technology Training, are
required to pay (i) Re-registration Fee Rs.250, (ii) Cost of new study materials of PCC
Rs.400, (iii) Registration Fee as articled /audit trainee Rs.500, (iv) Students’
Association Fee Rs.500 and (v) Registration fee with Board of Studies for 100 Hours
Information Technology Training Rs.2000; Total Rs.3650.
2. Existing students of Professional Education (Course-II), who want to switch over to
Professional Competence Course (PCC) and already paid one instalment of Registration
fee for 250 Hours Compulsory Computer Training, are required to pay (i) Re-
registration Fee Rs.250, (ii) Cost of new study materials of PCC Rs.400, (iii)
Registration Fee as articled/audit trainee Rs.500, (iv) Students’ Association Fee Rs.500
and (v) Rs.1200 as balance amount of Registration Fee for 100 Hours Information
Technology Training; Total Rs.2850.
3. Existing students of Professional Education (Course-II), who have earlier joined
their articled training and want to switch over to Professional Competence Course
(PCC) and did not pay earlier Registration fee for 250 Hours Compulsory Computer
Training, are required to pay (i) Re-registration Fee Rs.250, (ii) Cost of new study
materials of PCC Rs.400, (iii) Registration fee with Board of Studies for 100 Hours
Information Technology Training Rs.2000; Total Rs.2650.
4. Existing students of Professional Education (Course-II), who want to switch over to
Professional Competence Course (PCC) and already paid Registration fee for 250 Hours
Compulsory Computer Training, are required to pay (i) Re-registration Fee Rs.250, (ii)
Cost of new study materials of PCC Rs.400, (iii) Registration Fee as articled/audit
trainee Rs.500 and (iv) Students’ Association Fee Rs.500; Total Rs.1650.
(ii). Switch over from PE-II to PCC – applicable to those students who have
exhausted 5 consecutive attempts
Those students who have exhausted all the attempts will have to register afresh by
paying full registration fees for PCC cum Articleship cum ITT, i.e., Rs.7,500/- applicable
at present. But if the student has already been registered for Articleship and / or ITT
(earlier CCT), the student would not be required to register afresh for the same.
(III) Registration Fee for Final Course

* Those who have not joined their articleship will be required to pay additional
Rs.1,500 [(i) Students’ Association Fee Rs.500, (ii) Registration Fee as articled /audit
trainee Rs.500 and (iii) Registration fee with Board of Studies Rs.500].
The registration for Final Course will be valid for a period of 5 years from the date of
initial registration. Further, the registration will continue to be valid as long as the
student continues to appear in either or both groups of the Final exam irrespective of
the period involved which may be beyond five years. After expiry of the period of 5
years from the date the student initially registered himself/herself for Final course his
registration will lapse except where such student has appeared in at least one of the
last two examinations conducted just before the end of five years. The registration
of such student shall however lapse in case he subsequently does not appear in two
consecutive examinations.
A student whose registration gets lapsed will be eligible for re registration. Such
students will be required to re-register himself/herself by paying a nominal
revalidation fee of Rs.500/-.
(ii). Switch over from Final (Old) Course to Final (New) Course and appearing in
Final Exam.
Students of Final (Old) Course may opt for registration for Final (New) Course by
making a remittance of Rs.1100/- to the concerned decentralized office where such
students are originally registered.
The last Final (Old) Course examination will be held in November, 2009 and first Final
(New) Course examination will be held in November, 2008. The students who have
passed Professional Education (Examination –II) and have opted for registration under
new scheme can also appear in Final Examination during last 12 months of their
articled training i.e. all the students who are pursuing final course after passing
Professional Education (Examination –II) registered either under old scheme or new
scheme are eligible to appear in their Final Examination during last 12 months of their
articled training subject to complying with eligibility criteria, if applicable.
