Mood Boards:
What Are Mood Boards?
Mood Boards are poster like designs that include images, text and other objects to offer an illustrate vision on various different ideas the creator has, usually describing a specific subject or story. These boards allow ideas to flow and provide concepts for others. Usually created digitally. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mood_board http://www.wisegeek.org/what-is-a-mood-board.htm
The mood board could be used to advertise an upcoming magazine that focuses on the UK Rap scene or could also be used as individual promotion for each artist on the poster. Due to it containing some of the photographs of hottest UK Rap artists it could be used by record labels to promote upcoming music projects such as E.Ps, Mixtapes or Albums, Or media production companies such as SB.TV to represent a show reel video about videos made during a certain time period. This mood board could be created on an i-pad application known as Mood Board.

(Image Wouldnt Load)
http://acomp.stanford.edu/tutorials/storyboarding This is an example of a storyboard. The purpose of this specific story board is to tell the story of young person learning about creating storyboards, each box represents a scene for the Video product, there are 9 shots in total and each box has unique instructions which is followed by camera operators and directors. Providing a detailed plan of how each shot should look, with instructions to the different camera shots and angles and what happens in each shot. Also providing information about when Dialogue should be used by characters. Storyboards should be used for every video production to act as a plan to run by. This particular storyboard has been created by hand. For example TV programme production companies will use storyboards like this to indicate what will happen in each shot, used as a pre-production document and could be created on software packages such as Storyboard artist which allows you to create your idea from scratch. http://www.powerproduction.com/storyboard-artist.html
Storyboard Example #2
This storyboard has been created differently from the previous example. Here we have an example of a Digital made storyboard which provides shot by shot instructions on how to film a specific scene to a video production. The storyboard shows each how each shot should be filmed and also tells the camera operator or director what frame rate each scene should be filmed at. Each box is a detailed version of each scene providing a clear guidance plan that should be followed when filming. Duration of each shot and camera movements are also listed as should be. http://scoaladecinema.ro/wp-content/uploads/2011/09/storyboard-1.jpg For example Animation companies such as who create cartoons such as Pokemon will use the storyboard to plan each individual shot before creating the episode. Could be created on a software package known as Toon Boom Storyboard Pro https://www.toonboom.com/products/storyboardpro
Storyboard Example #3
This example is short and less detailed, however, it still provides information required to create a scene to a video production. Each shot is listed a specific shot with stage directions, camera movement, how each scene should be shot, what characters are involved and detailed drawings of how the actors should be. This has been drawn by hand, and provides a sequence to how a specific scene should be filmed. Fashion companies will hire a film crew to film an advert to promote an upcoming winter collection of clothing which will be used on television to advertise their new product, storyboards will be used to plan the advert, including any effects, titles and animation added before filming and editing. Could be created on software packages such as Frame Forge http://www.frameforge3d.com/Products/Core-Version/
