The Morning Consult

National Healthcare Poll among Seniors:

February 2014

Topline Results

Methodology:
This poll was conducted from February 22-25, 2014, among a national sample of 1,785 registered
voters 65 years and older on traditional Medicare or a Medicare Advantage plan. The interviews were conducted online by Survey Sampling International, Inc. The data were weighted to
approximate a target sample of senior registered voters based on age, race/ethnicity, gender,
educational attainment, and region. Results from the full survey have a margin of error of plus
or minus two percentage points. In addition to sampling error, there are many common sources
of error and bias may influence the overall results such as variation in question order, question
wording, respondent attentiveness, survey attrition, and selection bias.

spending would be reduced by 3.5 percent. These rate adjustments are based on trends in overall healthcare spending,
among other factors. How concerned, if at all, are you that this rate adjustment will increase the cost of Medicare

34: As you may know, the Obama administration recently announced a rate adjustment in which Medicare Advantage
spending would be reduced by 3.5 percent. These rate adjustments are based on trends in overall healthcare spending,
among other factors. How concerned, if at all, are you that this rate adjustment will negatively impact access to
preferred medical providers through Medicare Advantage?
