ENROLLMENT PROCEDURES FOR SETTING III & IV EBD STUDENTS AT PALADIN ACADEMY

New student enrolls

MARSS coordinator requests records & notifies SPED team

Student is placed in 2 week long orientation class

Based on the severity of the behavior needs, discussion about the ability to provide FAPE will occur

IEP, eval, & services to be reviewed at intake meeting

Intake meeting is scheduled within 7-10 days of enrollment

Three possible outcomes

1) IEP is adopted or amended for 30 day trial period

3) School helps student & family connect with a school that provides appropriate level of service for student needs (Setting IV EBD program)

2) IEP is adopted or amended & a re-evaluation is proposed to determine current needs
