Students will be able to use Mail Merge facilities.

Mail Merge takes name and address data and merges it with a standard letter document. The Output is thousands of personally addressed letters. The name and address data can be stored in a database, in a spreadsheet or in another document.

Three Main components


Primary Letter
Data Source Secondary or merged letters

Mail Merge
Create a letterhead Insert date

Type the body of your letter


Go to Mailings tab

click on Select recipients

choose create a new list. Input data for data source then save. Click on Mailings Tab Insert merge fields and insert fields appropriately. Save as primary letter Complete letter Click on Preview results. Click on finish and merge Edit individuals letters. Save as Secondary letters

Home Work
Write the names, addresses and amount owed for

services for 5customers. Write a letter informing them that they need to clear their outstanding debts.

Evaluation
Individual students letterhead was checked for

appropriate information and formatting techniques used.
