SIUC College of Mass Communication and Media Arts Announces Discovery Expo  
 
CARBONDALE, Illinois (October 29, 2009) – The College of Mass Communication 
and Media Arts (MCMA) at Southern Illinois University Carbondale (SIUC) 
announces a unique recruiting event, possibly the first of its kind. Alumni, students, 
faculty and staff will gather in the Communications Building at the SIUC campus 
from 4:30‐8:00pm on Tuesday, November 10, for a college recruiting event designed 
for prospective students and their families, as well as interested teachers and 
guidance counselors. 
 
Participants will discover the possibilities and accomplishments of the college. At 
the expo there will be demonstrations on state‐of‐the‐art equipment, presentations 
on how to succeed in the real world, and opportunities to discuss your future with 
college advisers and students. Student ambassadors will give tours of the facilities 
and refreshments will be provided.
