April 29, 2014 Glorious Organics Co-Op Farm Field Trip As part of our Science curriculum we have been learning about seeds, food [nutrition], and gardening. We are booked to visit an organic farm in Aldergrove on Tuesday, May 6 [Mrs. S-K] and Wednesday, May 7 [Mrs. Cunningham] for a 90 minute visit to the farm. The tour will include meeting the farmer who grows the food we find on our dinner plates and viewing a small-scale agricultural operation in action. The bus will leave Langley Meadows at 9:00 a.m. and return before lunch. Please have your child dress for the weather. We will each need four parent helpers for this field trip. Parents can come with us on the bus. Unfortunately siblings cannot be accommodated on this field trip. The cost for this field trip is $5.00 per student; this covers the bus and tour. This field trip is optional. If you choose for your child not to attend, then alternate activities will be provided for them at school. If you are unable to submit the cover cost, please let us know so arrangements could be made to cover the costs by PAC. Please fill out the permission slip and send it in with $5.00 by Thursday, May 1st as Friday is a Pro-D day and students are not at school. Thanks very much!
