This picture represents the need to have a creative and caring teacher. A teacher that creative and also caring helps 21st century learners achieve both in and out of the classroom. I had this picture in the center of my collage because I feel a teacher is the most important tool in a classroom. Teachers today have just as much pressure on them to be successful as the students do.

This picture represents the completive nature of the 21st century learner. Students today will not only be competing with jobs with fellow classmates, but with students from the entire world. Students need to strive to be the greatest if they want to become successful.

This picture represents how the 21st century learner needs to be creative. The more creativity a student has, the more well rounded he or she is. Creativity isnt limited to just art; it can be expressed in any subject.

This picture represents critical thinking that 21st century learns need. Students need to be able to think outside of the box and be able to problem solve. Every subject in school requires some sort of critical thinking. Critical thinking is also important for all the standardize testing the students must take.

This picture represents the need for updated technology needed to teach 21st century learners. Students today have grown up in a technology-based society and will need the latest technology to learn and grow. Using Smart Boards is just one example of using new technology to help students learn and think.

This picture represents how students today are compared to other students worldwide and need to be able to compete with students from around the world. Everything we do today is global and this includes our students.

This picture represents how 21st century learners need to learn how to work in groups. Group activities are important in the classroom because it teaches students how work with their piers to accomplish a goal. This also teaches students diversity because they get a chance to work with students that might be a little different than them.

This picture represents how the 21st century learner needs to have good communication skills. This is important because no matter what job they get after school, they will need to learn how communicate with people. Presenting projects like shown in this picture help students learn key communication skills and talking in front of a group of people.

This picture represents how teachers need to come up with interactive activities to spark interest in the 21st century learner. Hands on projects are a great way to help students think outside of the box and also have fun while learning.

This picture represents the importance of standardize testing for 21st century learners. Testing is how we measure students success today and it is important for them to good on these tests. We also use these tests to see where students stand compared to other students around the world.
