Care of the Obese Pregnant Woman
Dodi Gauthier, M.Ed, BSN, RNC-OB, C-EFM
1) Identify significant diverse maternal and neonatal complications associated with
obesity during pregnancy.
2) Formulate a plan for an obese pregnant patient who requires a scheduled or
emergent Cesarean delivery including the anesthesia risks.
3) Discuss the equipment challenges of caring for an obese laboring woman.
