The Project The Transferred Account Procedure or TAP is a standard among GSM
Carriers to exchange roaming billing information (these carriers are also
Referred to as Public Land Mobile Carriers (PLMN)). If a roaming
Agreement is set up between two operators (PLMN A and PLMN B)
then
Each operator will allow each other’s mobile subscribers to "roam" in
their
Network. When this occurs, any call records raised by the roaming
Subscriber making or receiving a call are processed by the VPLMN
(Visiting PLMN) billing system and passed to the HPLMN (Home
PLMN) billing system in the form of a TAP record and vice versa. All
the
Real time scenarios were written into test cases.
A TAP file contains call data including information:
• For guiding to the customer’s service instance
• For determining the service used
• About the number of chargeable units
• About exchange rates and tax rates used
