Your next employer or professors will EXPECT you to be STRONG in all these
areas; therefore, so will I.
RESPONSIBILITY
Students must bring all supplies with them to class. Students will be given 1 Locker pass
per 6 weeks. Additional passes will equal a tardy.
Students will be given 2 bathroom passes per 6 weeks. Additional passes will equal a
tardy.
Students will be tardy if they are not in their seats when the tardy bell rings.
Students will stay in their seats when the bell ring
Students must take all supplies & trash with them when they leave. Detentions will be
assigned for anything left in the classroom.
WORK ETHIC
Students will be expected daily to:
1. Stay on task. Spanish! - No visiting. Save it for break.
2. Work at an efficient pace. Rapid fire!
3. Practice out loud: over & over & over.
4. Listen carefully!
5. Write neatly or rewrite it!
DEDICATION
Be dedicated to your studies & persevere to earn the highest grade possible!

MAKE UP TEST POLICY
Each test can be retaken 2x.
Each retest will be given a deadline.
Student must attend at least 1 break-time tutorial before retesting.
Points will be deducted. 15 first attempt. 30 second attempt.

LATE WORK PENALTIES
1 DAY 15 point deduction
2 DAYS 30 point deduction
3 DAYS 50 point deduction
*Work will not be accepted after 3 days

ABSENT WORK
It is the sole responsibility of the student to come to me for makeup work & to turn it in
on time.
A student is responsible for taking quizzes, tests or turning in work on the due date if
he/she was aware of the due date in advance.
It is the students responsibility to schedule makeup tests & quizzes with me if time does
not allow us to do it during class.
Each makeup assignment will be given a due date depending on the situation.
Late work penalties will apply.

THINGS I DONT WANT TO HEAR
Why do I have to learn Spanish? B/C anything you learn is exercise for your brain;
when you finally make a life career choice you need to have the strongest brain possible.
It is proven that those who exercise their language side of the brain are stronger in all
other areas.
I cant learn a foreign language. - B/C it is just information & facts to memorize just
like any other subject. Animals dont speak English, but they learn to understand it just
like you can.
I didnt do it b/c I didnt understand. B/C there is nothing to understand about
vocabulary and if you LISTEN & WORK with me you WILL understand any grammar we
may do.
Can we study 5-10 minutes before we test. No. B/C I believe in testing your long term
memory & not your short term memory.

DOS & DONTS
DONT enter my area! DO ask me nicely if you need something.
DONT use the door to the Science room! DO go around.
DONT use a rude, sarcastic, argumentative, disrespectful tone with anyone! DO speak
calmly & respectfully.
DONT throw anything! DO get up & take it at appropriate time.
DONT talk during quizzes, test! DO raise your hand and ask ME questions.
DONT draw on board!
DONT leave anything behind. DO leave your homework behind in the appropriate place.
DONT bring any food or drinks into building. DO bring water in a clear bottle.
