focuses on the aspect of technology as a form of aid in all relationships, whether it be with a
significant other, or with family members. I found that her view goes against society's
conception that technology is a form of evil, when really it has the power to bring all people
together. It is clear that Broadbent challenged my view on how relationships are affected by
technology; this will aid me in my overall project. It is also very reliable.

young adults were interviewed and asked questions about values and morals in America.
The results are quite helpful for my topic, especially since it backs up the idea that
subjectivity is increasing in relationships and moral frameworks. Many of the quoted
answers had to do with the fact that the interviewee could not specify what is right or
wrong, because everyone has a different spectrum. It seems as though American morals
do not consist of rigidity, people do what feels right to them. This source is reliable and
effective.

students, or those who are researching social media and its effects.There is a
prevalence of information in the form of statistics, expert opinions, and visual aids. This
article is clearly trying to educate others on how social media is affecting humans and
their relationships. The author also builds her credibility by mentioning the sources she
used. Being an academic article, the findings are insightful.
Cervantes, Nina. Personal interview. 13 July 2014. Through this interview I found that there is
always a new way of looking at dating in society. Nina gave me some insight, especially
regarding the issue of change over time. She pointed out that ambiguity in relationship
titles have always been present, it just seems more prevalent because of our modes of
communication. Due to the fact that this is a first person account, and conducted the
interview, I know it is reliable

to outline the values of Americans. By researching the values that are found in America, I
can better understand how relationships are formed and why there is such subjectivity in
relationship titles. I may not use this reference as much as I would the academic articles, but
it serves as a basis for my project.

is a large factor in relationship titles. When collecting information, the answers from the
subjects regarding relationships and their titles will give more credibility to the overall
project. What I found, that I didn't expect, was the advocation of technology, and its ability
to form and strengthen a relationship. Being from EBSCO I can trust this information.

are outlined. This is helpful because the roles played in a relationship are just as
important in titles. The roles, if not compatible may create tension and therefore a failed
relationship. This article is credible and It will be useful.

differences in dating styles are compared. From the authors perspective, Americans value
long term relationship less than Europeans do.This difference in dating styles shows how
underlying morals can shape a relationship.This is useful when judging what type of a
relationship someone has. This article is not academic, nor found on a database, but it is on
a well established website.

The fact that this reading is an actual survey with candid answers from college
students, I know that my project with benefit. The participant mentioned that having a
conversation over text can actually allow you to get to know the other person when you are
busy. The emphasis on the positive effects of technology is not something that I would have
predicted, but it will serve as useful information when I cover the topic of communication in
a relationship.

article, although not very credible, gives insight into how dating rules have changed. The
author outlines how technology has taken over the dating scene. This will help my argument,
that technology has its disadvantages when it comes to getting to know someone. I can see
how an academic article may be more helpful since this one is just opinion based.
