Reading Logs and Book Reports o Starting in September, stapled to the front of your childs agenda will be their monthly reading log. They are to read a book on their level for 20 minutes EVERY NIGHT as part of their homework!!!! It would be most beneficial if they read out loud so you could hear them and then ask them questions about what they are reading.
o After they are finished reading, they need to fill out the title of the book and how many pages they read. Then, you are to initial that they did read NIGHTLY. I will initial the teacher box the following day to ensure they did read as part of their homework. There will be a consequence for each night this is not completed.
o Before the end of the month, they need to choose one book they read previously and fill out the book report forms. (Stapled to the back of the reading log) These are the same skills/standards we are learning/practicing in the classroom.
